Kim (she/her) has been practicing massage since 2010 and has enjoyed a thriving massage practices in Seattle and Tucson. Kim graduated from the 1000 hour program at Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Seattle, WA in 2010 and from Northwest School of Animal Massage in 2011.
Kim's first career was in the veterinary field where she worked in various medical offices including emergency and specialty medicine, and then on the holistic side of the spectrum. Kim still work remotely for a group of holistic vets in Seattle and runs an online veterinary Chinese herbal store called Kingdom Of Basil. Kim has an enormous passion for animals and a special interest in adopting special needs dogs and cats. She currently shares her home with 5 dogs; a blind neuro-special and paralyzed miniature poodle, a tri-pawd pitbull, an american bulldog mix and two chihuahua mixes, and 2 cats one of which is also missing a leg. When she's not working you can usually find her laying in a hammock with a novel, baking something tasty, or hiking with her dogs. Kim's style of massage and bodywork is often described as therapeutic and deeply relaxing. She utilizes the use of multiple modalities and style of bodywork during a single session which fuses into a custom session that will help achieve the goals set that day. Her goal is to not only decrease overall tension and pain but to increase your mobility and introduce the ease of movement into your daily life. Her passion has always been to help those with chronic pain find freedom from the pain. Kim allows her work to be guided by intuition all while paying close attention to what feedback she's getting from the nervous system and client. She has a deep understanding of muscular anatomy and uses that knowledge along with an intuitive side to help shape the session. Clients often tell her that she's "zeroed in" to the problem areas, and found tension they didn't even know existed. A session may include Swedish massage, cupping massage, hot stones, hot towels, therapeutic deep tissue, myo-fascial release, passive and active "pin and stretch", isolated passive stretching, trigger point release, or neuro-muscular techniques.
